Life Without Music
70Different kinds of moods and different kinds of music
Sometimes I wonder what life would be like without music. I don't sing or play any instruments myself, but I listen to music every day. I just love YouTube, where you can find almost any kind of music you like. Depending on what mood I'm in, I'm listening to different kinds of music. If I feel nostalgical I can just go on the Internet looking for som 1980's rock music that I just love. If I'm in party mood I search YouTube for some 1990's techno music. In this aspect, Internet is a wonderful place to. Of course HubPages can be like music to my ears too. It's just a little different. If I want to realax and just think, Melissa Horn is a great musician to listen too. She has a voice I can't stop listening to. Below is one of her songs. The original text in this song is not in English, but I did this translation:
I do not recognize myself
This is not me
I take everything so simple
Has repressed how it was
Back in the old habits
When I hear from you again
And I do not ask the question
"What did you really want"
You are probably the one
Who I should be with
You are probably the one
Who I should be with
I do not put the blame on you
But you did not notice anything
You needed someone bigger
And I needed something to long for
Because sometimes I disappear
And everyone asks what I am thinking of
But I can not tell
For one must not think like that
But you are probably the one
Who I should be with
But you are probably the one
Who I should be with
The time is late
There is no time for you
I live my life now
With someone who loves me
But you are probably the one
Who I should be with
Yes, you are probably the one
Who I should be with
You are probably the one
Who I should be with
You are probably the
Who I should be with
You are probably the one ....
The words in this song are just beautiful and when the singer Melissa Horn sings it with her beautiful voice I just sit as enchanted and can't stop listening to the words, the music and the bitter sweetness in the song and in the voice. This is just one of Melissa Horn's songs I can relate too. Music is a wonderful thing.

I can't describe the importance of music in my life, except to say it would be like living without a soul.
Thanks for SHARING!
I love listening to music. There is a song for every mood and sometimes just turning on some tunes can cheer me up right away. Don't know what I would do without music. I often wish I could sing or play an instrument myself. Great article.
I watched the video and could not understand it, even though the music was beautiful. Then I found that you are from Finland. My son lives in Anchorage Alsaka and has many Finnish friends. They really seem to enjoy Alaska. Look forward to your hubs. Thanks for SHARING
Interesting. As an old 60s rocker I will never give up music. I actually love most of the music today.
Music is the language of the spirit and I cant imagine a world without it. Everything I do involves music; even when I go to sleep. Great Hub! I am a big fan of folk music, it gives me a inside look to other culture and musical styles.
I too enjoy most music. From Country, some rock, stage and screen, plus the classics. My tolerance level stops when music loses rhythm, tone, melodious content. I personally think that someone trying to put "mary had a little lamb" type of rhyming to a beat without melody....does not constitute music. Nor does a "score" and "lyrics" written to sing with sustained vocals...where the singer can't find the correct note....worthy of listening to. The worst singing of the "Star Spangled Banner" of all music....is sung by a so called singer that cannot sustain a proper note. Call it "soul" or whatever, it ruins the entire production. Ever want to hear a true voice, try you-tube for the singer Kiri Te Kanawa as she does the Rachmaninoff op 34 No 14 Vocalise that does not contain lyrics but strictly melody.
I will agree....music is desired by all of us....as long as it is music. We need and love it. and the more....the better.
I enjoy most forms of music....as I stated as long as it is "MUSIC" and not just a beat with someone rattling off a gutter form of poetry. Opera just happens to be one I enjoy particularly when I know the singer such as Kiri. Know her personally and really appreciate her voice. Like Streisand, Gorme, Piaf, Sinatra and so on....even like new age music. Only "country music I can't tolerate is where the singer sounds as if he/she is in extreme pain.
Types of music I listen to also depends on my mood. I love Jim Morrison and Pink Floyd, but I also enjoy Amy Winehouse.
I also don't sing or play instruments, but I can't imagine my life without music.
I think everyone like music.Your article is great one.......

Hi Made.
I would say that music is part of our lives in one way or another.
You are probably correct in saying music is for moods. One minute i can listen to the Rolling Stones and the next to Eros Ramazzotti (Italian), but mostly i love Irish folk music.
Lovely hub with a beautiful singer and the song was wonderful even without understanding a word of your language.
